Au-delà / Out There

This exhibition explores the concept of the beyond: How since the beginning of time, primordial matter has been muted and transformed, resulting in the interconnectedness of all things in the universe that surrounds us today.

«Curiosity of the unknown links me to life beyond: Where do we come from? Where are we going? Is earth a unique place in the universe? Do other planets have the necessary conditions to harbour life forms? Humans want to understand their past and explore their future. Through this exhibition, I hope to inspire others to imagine what’s out there, to dream and to ask what if… ».

The exhibition features a mixed media sculpture and monotypes. Working with monotypes allows the artist to achieve results that are spontaneous, full of surprises and subject to experimentation. As with her subject, the results are often unexpected.

Depuis le début des temps, les éléments chimiques primitifs ont subi mutations et transformations pour donner forme à la complexité et à l’interdépendance de l’univers qui nous entoure aujourd’hui. Stimulée surtout par l’exploration actuelle de la planète Mars, l’artiste Etidal Arbach-L’Heureux s’intéresse depuis quelque temps à la vie supraterrestre.

«L’attrait de l’inconnu me lie à l’au-delà : D’où venons-nous? Où allons-nous? Notre planète est-elle unique dans l’univers? Les autres planètes sont-elles à même d’initier la vie? L’être humain veut connaître ses antécédents et explorer son futur. Par le biais de mes oeuvres, je veux stimuler l’imagination, rêver à tout ce qui est possible…».

L’artiste utilise la forme sculpturale et le monotype pour réaliser ces œuvres. Le monotype lui permet de créer des images uniques, spontanées, pleines de surprises et surtout d’expérimenter. Les résultats sont parfois inattendus.
